Watching everyone!

Good day to everyone.  I’m here again.  Not for long time waiting, the prayer will start soon.  While I’m  waiting for the prayer function to start, I sit in one corner near the entrance and I feel good when I saw people were keep on coming to attend that prayer function.  There were a bunch of families coming, together with their children.  It’s a nice feeling that when it comes to that kind of function everyone have the same thoughts about praying.

Others who came early were talking  even if they don’t know each other.   Kids were playing and they were all very happy as we  gave them chocolates and candies.  I saw some parents had a bit of chocolate of their kids.  It’s a nice feeling watching those people.  As if they don’t have encounter problems.

I’ll be going for now, as the prayer function will start.  See you again.

In the Kitchen @ Matar

I’m here now in the kitchen. We have big space there for preparing the foods for the people.  Look at those man working there.  It’s not easy to prepare and cook food for more than 12,000 people.  But with all the efforts and coordination of everyone, I’m sure that everybody will enjoy their lunch tomorrow.

Universal Peace Prayer

Good morning friends,

Today I’ll be going to Matar.  I will check there what we will be needed for the preparation of tomorrows big event January 30, 2009.  We will have our “Universal Peace Prayer”.  That is something which should  be given importance.

I will see to it that everything there will be available.  I will make sure that the kitchen there will have all the materials that will be using for the preparation of the food.  We will be preparing lunch and we are going to feed more than 12,000 people who will go there.  It’s just only my estimation of how many people will go there.  I’m sure many will attend to that prayer function.  So it’s not easy to prepare foods with only few people.  I know everybody will contribute their effort for the wellness of that function.  Everybody who will go there today will be busy with their own work. The preparation is not easy.  With the cooperation of each and every one,  the work will be done simultaneously.

We will have something for the kids too.  They will be given chocolates and candies there.  Kids will love all the activities there.  At the same time, while they are still young, they will be aware of what is the importance of praying.  And this should be known by many specially our children.

I will be taking pictures today and specially tomorrow.  I will publish some of that.   I will be going now there and hope that you will be following me till our tomorrow’s special day.

I will be waiting for you all there and be our guest in our prayer function.

Free Medical camp @ manavparivar

Good Evening friends

Today is festival evening. It is Utarayan evening. Everyone is in mood of kite flying. People are on top of their house. At my office also, we change the working time and call everyone two hour early, so they can go home two hours early and can fly kites with family.

I was at matar this Sunday. It was second Sunday. Manav Parivar was having free medical camp. This time they were having more than 9000 patients. I was talking with the management team over their. They told me that they are having patients from all over India. He told me they have patients form Mumbai, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam, West Bengal, Kerala, Haryana etc. I think this include major states of India. They also told me that they are having patients from outside India. Their patients came from USA, UK, Australia, Italy, Kenya etc.

I was talking with few patients and asking them do they have get any benefits in their problem and I was so surprise to know that they all says me that YES. I ask them what they have to say about the system? Everyone said that manav parivar was having such a nice system, it was so easy at the same time it was so simple. I really surprise.

I have taken pictures of the camp and I am going to publish here in next post. They are going to have next free medical camp on January 25, 2009.

Volunteering is my need, not others-1

We talked last time that volunteering is my need. If I am doing charity or seva, that is for me not others. Someone will thought that why we need to think this issue. Does it make any difference if we are doing seva for our self or someone else? The answer is YES, it does make a lot different with the approaches change. There are two main very common approached behind doing volunteering.

Volunteering for others

Volunteering for my self

Volunteering for others:

This is very common way of doing volunteering. Majority of people are doing volunteering this way. Volunteer always have feeling that he/she is doing volunteering for others. For the person who is going to get benefits. For example, a volunteer A is doing his volunteering in manav parivar free medical camp. As he is young and educated, he likes to give his service to society. He gives his free service twice a month. Now, while he is there he always think that he not needs to do this volunteering. But as he is having ability he likes to do this volunteering to help others. So, he wants to become volunteer to help others.

3SRB- Breathing exercise program

Good evening friends,

Tomorrow is first Sunday of the month. Manav Parivar is having 3SRB sebir. 3SRb is abbreviated word for 3 Steps Rhythmic Breathing. 3SRB is a breathing exercise which was given to public by Shri Tavariyaji. Shree Tavariajli met his master, Shri Ram, when he was only seven years old. Over a period of 12 years he learnt the practices of a very secret Yoga System from his teacher. He said that this system was passed from master to disciples in Guru- Shisya parampara, originating from Maharshi Patanjali who is credited with the authorship of the Yoga-Sutras.

Shri Tavariaji condensed the system into a few simple exercises together with the three step rhythmic breath, so that the benefits of such a rich system of Yoga could be easily available to every one. His teacher advised him to be a householder, so he lived a family man throughout and is survived by his wife and two children. He said that the real test of Yoga is in a normal family life.

I am going to attend this 3SRB program tomorrow. The timing is from 7-00 am to 9-00 am. I will talk with you all soon.

From darkness to light

Good Afternoon, again something good I read and I am here to share with you all. Teach India volunteers did it again. Red the following news I found at times of india website. “Tamso ma jyotirgamaya…” means leading from darkness to light. It could not have been more true, when children at Shankar Bhavan in Shahpur sung this prayer on Wednesday afternoon. It was a churning for both the students, all from underprivileged homes, and Teach India volunteers who spent time with them.

At their second class with teachers, the kids seemed more enthusiastic about English. As they started with a quick revision of the previous lesson, Payal Thakur, a student of class VI from Shahpur school number 15, beamed: “At home, I spoke to my father in English and told him everything I learnt here. He was ecstatic and proud and insisted I continue learning.”

The overjoyed volunteers then began to teach them to spell their names in English. Otherwise shy, the kids soon started opening up and displayed a confident demeanour when the volunteers asked them about Christmas.

Anil Chauhan, a student of DBV High School

, told them about how he created the Nativity scene in paper mache. The fact that he narrated most of it in English was remarkable. “I learnt about paper mache at my grandfather’s farmhouse. I make a variety of animals out of paper mache, my favourite being the symbol of peace which is a dove,” he said as the volunteers helped him connect sentences.

The class then learnt to identify different colours and shapes in the form of an innovative activity. “I enjoy learning here because the class is extremely entertaining,” said 12-year-old Bharat Parmar a student of standard 7.

When asked about what they aspire to become, 12-year-old Alpesh Parmar said, in a patriotic note, “I wish to serve the nation and make my parents proud.” On other hand, his sister Gauri, 14, told the volunteer, “I want to do what you are doing. I want to teach.”
